About Us

Prof picHayley began her career working for Purbeck District Council as a Council Tax Officer. She became a Legacy Officer in 2001 and has worked with a number of high profile charities throughout her career, including the RNLI and Help for Heroes.

She has acquired extensive knowledge of the probate process and prides herself on her empathy and listening skills as well as her genuine interest in those around her. She deploys excellent negotiation and influencing skills and is commercially aware and adept at maximising legacy income. She is able to build rapport and cultivate strong relationships and is always sensitive and respectful which harnesses trust from her clients who appreciate her approachable and friendly manner.

Through networking across the South of England she has encountered a number of smaller charities who cannot afford to employ a dedicated Legacy Officer and who as a result, are unable to maximise their legacy income. As a result of this, Hayley began to explore the possibility of setting up her own Legacy Consultancy business and Legacy South was born.

Hayley is keen to continue with her professional development and is a member of the Institute of Legacy Management (ILM) whose aim is:

  • to educate and train those involved in legacy management, to promote professional standards
  • to provide consultancy and support
  • to represent the views of the profession and to act as a lobby group where appropriate

As a consultant, Hayley is covered by a professional indemnity insurance. A copy of the policy can be forwarded upon request.

My reason for dropping a note was to let you know just how informative, supportive and sensitive Hayley was to the subject of gifts in Wills.  Hayley was quite simply brilliant in delivering sound encouragement and benefits to all.
